About This File
June 29, 2008.
One of the young fell out of the box at about 7:55 p.m. The bird is safe and unharmed. It landed on top of a silo underneath the nest box. The adult falcons are attending to and feeding the displaced eyase. Employees at Elk River Station are monitoring the situation. The photo strip below shows pictures of the scene taken that same day after the falcon eyas fell and a rescue crew at the scene trying to locate and inspect the bird.
The first photo shows its nest box circled upper left and where it fell down onto an outside stairwell walkway which is circled and arrowed. The second photo is a close-up of the area with an enlarged insert of the falcon looking over the end of the walkway - circled.
